Firstly I would like to commend Sega on their successful alienation of the majority of PC owners by releasing this demo on Steam only. Nice one!

Secondly, I would like to add you on Steam, but I can't add friends since I "don't have any games". So I guess I'm locked out of this demo until I buy something on Steam, which, due to this slightly aggravating situation I'm experiencing here and the fact that a past encounter with said software made me reinstall Windows, will never happen.

u can download the game after your done downloading and installing u need to restart your steam again to be able to add people on your steam account i believe other people ar capable of adding u just check your steam/community once that happend and refresh the list

as for the demo ,,, PATIENCE yes deff patience it took me 30 mins to join a server now thats absurd lol ^^

Ok, ok, so it's working now. My bad. But I really thought that you had to populate your friends list in order to play. Nothing happened on the pc, and on PS3 (where it's even called a "Friendly Match") the match started only when someone on my PSN friends list logged on.

As for Steam, no change there. But please try to add me: b00nana

However, this game is completely unplayable on my hardware, even though it meets minimum requirements and the settings are set as low as possible. Which is quite disappointing when even Crysis runs better. So unless you get it for PS3, you still won't see me in-game for a while.

Simultaneous pressing of buttons.
Holding a button down.
Context sensitive buttons.

This game has it all, and on top of that you have to be tactical in mêlée, so you could argue that the game also use serial combinations... They're all familiar techniques, but I can't think of another game that use ALL of them. On the bright side it will probably be satisfying to master all of it.

The only thing that is straight-out bad is that reloading and picking up weapons takes forever and context sensitive things like climbing as Marine is a bit unforgiving.

How the hell are you supposed to play that drunk ?!

Well, not real fighting game combos, but you should block light attacks and then counter with a light attack. And if someone charges a heavy attack I think you can abort it with a light attack, not sure about that one. Rock-paper-scissor style, you know.

About the Alien btw, you can really hide in the dark with it unlike in AvP2.
